Everyone loves a lawn – bright, luscious greenery will decorate any area near your home, office, or public building. But keeping the lawn tidy is not easy. It is not enough to cut and water it – where people often walk, and sometimes even leave cars, even very careful maintenance will not help preserve the grass. In this case, the lawn should be laid using a special lawn grating. The grass grown in this way will not only withstand the load from pedestrians, it is even possible to arrange an eco-parking on it.
This concept means a set of plastic honeycomb modules that are connected to form a continuous web. The cells that make up each fragment can have a rectangular, diamond-shaped, round or other shapes, depending on the manufacturer’s imagination.
The root system of the grass is inside the cells and is not damaged even under very heavy loads. Depending on their strength, the gratings can withstand a weight of up to 25 tons per square meter. Thus, a passenger car can be placed on the lawn created with these gratings.
Lattices for creating eco-parking have a cell height of 35 mm. This height is sufficient for the roots and root shoots of the grass to develop normally and not be damaged under the influence of significant loads. At the same time, the weight of the car is distributed fairly evenly and does not deform the grille.
The plastic fragments of the lattice are connected using hooks located along the perimeter. Thus, you can create a coating of any area and shape. The plastic modules can also be trimmed to give the edges of the pad, for example, a round shape.
Ways to use the lawn grill
Lawn gratings are used in landscape design and arrangement of the local area very widely. For example, they can be used to equip:
- car parking;
- territory of temporary passage of motor transport;
- grassy sports and playgrounds;
- green areas on rooftops;
- paths along the banks of water bodies and other green areas.
The advantages of lawn grates include:
